Framework of Teachers as Designers Project number: MTD: 2022-2-DK01-KA210-VET-000093795 Co-funded by the European Commission

The MTD project supports vocational education teachers in becoming teachers as designers  by nurturing  design mindsets: one that embraces complexity, empathy, creativity, and co‑creation as core teaching competencies. The  project has:

  • Co‑created a TasD mindset framework defining the competencies and ways of thinking needed for teachers as designers
  • Applied design thinking and co-creation to develop and prototype learning interventions and activities that cultivate this mindset
  • Developed design principles and professional development modules for teacher training rooted in the framework and aligned with vocational education contexts;

MTD has resulted in a validated framework, practical learning tools, and design-based training resources that enable educational institutions to embed teacher-as-designer mindsets into professional learning.
